Art Deco 6.00 ctw. Diamond Platinum Duette Brooch
One hundred seventy-four (174) old-cut natural diamonds are meticulously-set in this magnificent, hand-fabricated work of art!
Created during the Art Déco Era, circa 1915-1935.
The piece is in remarkable condition and can be worn as a single brooch with pin and rotating safety, or as a duette brooch (double clip brooch).
2.75" x 1.25" overall measurements.
The brooch features magnificent craftsmanship throughout. The fancy-shaped diamonds are precisely channel-set while the round diamonds are bead-set with a bright-cut metal finish (done with a hand graving tool). The diamonds are very well-matched and the piece has wonderful balance.
The hinged clip mechanisms, as well as the pin and safety test 14 karat white gold (die-struck) while the remainder the brooch tests platinum (hand-fabricated).
