This gorgeous and unique, Art Nouveau Era, antique designer brooch, by the Unger Brothers features a 3-dimensional repoussé baby toddler motif, in sterling silver.

Unger Bros. was founded in 1872 by Herman Unger, in Newark, New Jersey. In 1879, three of the five brothers (William, George and Frederick) died, leaving Herman and Eugene to continue the business. They became one of America's most well-known silversmiths during the Art Nouveau era due to their creative repoussé designs.

The brooch measures 1 7/8" x 1 3/8" and has a gross weight of 10.7 grams.

The reverse side of the piece is signed, hallmarked, and dated: "Copyright 1904 UB Sterling 925 Fine".
