Early Art Déco 3.08 carat Asscher Cut Diamond Ring in Platinum
This magnificent, antique ring features gem quality asscher cut diamonds set in platinum, accented by old European cut diamonds.
The ring dates back to 1917, placing it right at the turn of the Belle Époque & Art Déco Era!
The ring contains three (3) asscher cut diamonds, each custom bezel set in platinum collets with millegrain detailing.
The center diamond measures 5.80 x 5.70 x 3.83mm and weighs just over 1 carat by itself. It grades G color and VVS2 clarity.
The two (2) asscher cut side diamonds measure just over 1/2 carat each. These diamonds grade G color, VS2-SI1 clarity.
The ring also contains fifty-two (52) old European cut diamonds of various weights. These diamonds are custom bead set, average 1.70mm in diameter and total ≈ 1.00 carat.
TOTAL DIAMOND WEIGHT ≈ 3.08 CARATS
The workmanship of the setting is truly incredible. It has millegrain detailing throughout and also has subtle, hand engraved embellishments at the bottom of the ring shank.
Inside the shank is hand-engraved "MB" and is dated "1917".
The ring is presently a size 6 and has a gross weight of 4.8 grams.
