Carlos Eagle Native American Cuff Bracelet
This colorful vintage bracelet was handmade by the famous Native American artist, Carlos Eagle.
Carlos Eagle is a self-taught lapidary and silversmith who began his career in the 1940s, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Carlos Eagle is known for having sold handmade jewelry to various celebrities such as Elvis Presley, Cher, President Eisenhower, and The Roosevelts. Nothing he produces is cast. Everything is handmade. All gems are hand-cut, hand-polished, and hand-set by Carlos Eagle.
This bracelet features thirty-seven (37) natural gemstones in total:
(10) Spiny Oyster Shell
(4) Abalone Mother of Pearl Shell
(1) Lapis Lazuli
Each cabochon measures ≈ 12mm long and have varying widths and depths.
The sterling cuff bracelet has a stamped, scalloped motif at the edges of the piece.
The bracelet measures 16mm wide. It has a 1 3/8" opening for the wrist to slide through. The inner measurements of the cuff are 2 3/8" x 1 1/2" and should fit a wrist of ≈ 6 1/2".
The piece is signed and hallmarked, "Carlos Eagle Sterling".
