PAVÉ SETTING

Pavé is derived from the French word meaning "to pave", as in paved with diamonds.

Pavé settings require diamonds or gems set within very close proximity, using tiny beaded prongs, giving the illusion of a continuous cobblestone road of sparkling gems.
