Information:  Lagos was founded by Steven Lagos in 1977, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Works primarily in silver and gold.

LALAOUNIS

Hallmark(s):  "Ilias Lalaounis", "Lalaounis", "A21 Greece", Pictomark Signature
Information:  Ilias Lalaounis was a 4th generation jeweler, born in Greece, that began his career in the 1930s as an apprentice at his uncle's firm, Zolotas.  He took over the firm in 1940 and designed there until 1968.  In 1969, he opened his own firm, Greek Gold - Ilias Lalaounis, S.A.  Worked primarily in gold and silver.

LAMBERT BROTHERS

Hallmark(s):  "Lambert Bros"
Information:  New York City jewelry firm founded in 1877 by August Lambert and his brother.  The grandson, Henry Lambert, wound up purchasing the historical 68.00 carat pear shape "Taylor-Burton Diamond" in 1979 after the divorce of Liz Taylor and Richard Burton.  Lambert later sold the diamond to Robert Mouawad.

Information:  Founded in 1885 by Frank H. LaPierre, in New York City.  In 1893, the company relocated to Newark, New Jersey and later incorporated in 1985.  Focused mainly on sterling silver hollowware, dresser sets, and other accessories.  In 1929, the company was purchased by International Silver Company and relocated to Connecticut.

Information:  Luxury Swiss watch manufacturer founded by Antoine LeCoultre in 1833.  in 1903, Antoine's grandson, Jacques-David LeCoultre, began collaborating with Paris-based watchmaker, Edmond Jaeger, which eventually led to the company being officially renamed Jaeger-LeCoultre in 1937.

Hallmark(s):  "Leo Juvet Shanghai", Leo Juvet signature in Chinese/Mandarin characters
Information:  Founded in the mid 1800s by Edouard Juvet, of Switzerland.  Edouard produced pocket watches for the Chinese market, dating back to the mid 1800s.  In 1860, the first Juvet shop was opened, in Shanghai, by Edouard's two sons:  Ami Louis & Léo Juvet.  Beijing and Tianjin locations were later opened as Juvet began producing watches for the royal members and nobles of the Qing Dynasty.  Worked primarily in silver and gold, some with enameled detailing.

Information:  Leonard Paquin is a Native American, Laguna-Zuni artisan who began his career in New Mexico, in the 1980s.  He shares the "LGP" mark with his wife, Geraldine.  Works primarily in silver.
