Filigree is a term used to describe jewelry with designs created from thin, metal wires bent into intricate patterns.

The definition of filigree later evolved, including any sort of pierced, open metalwork.

Platinum filigree jewelry was very popular during the Edwardian and Art Deco Eras.

Filigree casting was later perfected, and is still popular to this day.
