Emerald Cut

Platinum 3-stone ring with a GIA 1.05 ct G VS1 emerald cut diamond center and 2 GIA no heat vivid pink sapphire emerald cut side stones
Emerald cut diamonds and sapphires are set in this magnificent three-stone platinum ring
The emerald cut is sometimes referred to as "the most revealing cut".

Emerald cuts are rectangular shaped with cut corners and a step cutting style.  Due to its step cut facet arrangement, imperfections within an emerald cut diamond are more recognizable than those within a brilliant cut diamond.  For this reason, it's important to consider higher clarity diamonds when shopping for emerald cuts.

The first emerald cut diamonds date back to the 1500s.
