Henry Papper began the journey that his family has continued for over a century, when he opened Papper's Jewelry and Loan in 1915, located in Saint Louis County, Missouri.
Henry's son, Max Papper, took over the family business, later relocating it to sunny South Florida.
Max's son, Frank Papper, continued the family tradition by expanding to multiple locations throughout Broward County, Florida. Frank opened Two Guys Pawnbrokers in 1983, located at 3345 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In 1984, he opened a second location, Deerfield Pawnbrokers, located at 618 South Federal Highway, Deerfield Beach, Florida.
Frank's son, Scott Papper, learned the family business at a young age. Scott became the first of his family to attend the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), achieving the prestigious Graduate Gemologist credential. In 2017, he opened his own company, Global Gemology & Appraisals, located at 618 South Federal Highway, Deerfield Beach, Florida. He quickly climbed the ranks of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA), achieving the Certified Master Appraiser credential.
