Bombé is French for bomb, or rounded like a bomb. Bombé style jewelry had a domed styling. Bombé rings and earrings have been popular throughout the 1900s, in the Art Deco era and later again in Mid Century era jewelry. "Sputnik" jewelry is a good example of Bombé style jewelry. |
