ACROSTIC JEWELRY
Acrostic jewelry is a style of jewelry that contains hidden messages, using the first letter of each gem to spell out a word. The first acrostic jewelry dates back to the Georgian Era (circa 1700s) when French jeweler, Jean-Baptiste Mellerio, used gems to spell out secret messages in his jewelry designs. This concept remained popular throughout the Georgian Era and into the Victorian Era.
