Scott is a 4th generation estate jewelry and diamond buyer whose family business was established in 1915. He studied diamonds and gemology at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) Robert Mouawad Campus in Carlsbad, California. In 2017, Scott achieved one of the industry's most prestigious credentials, when he became a GIA Graduate Gemologist.
Scott is also a GIA Applied Jewelry Professional and has over 10 years of full-time experience buying estate jewelry, diamonds, colored gemstones, pearls, coins, watches and other items of value.
In the summer of 2017, Scott founded Global Gemology & Appraisals where he has been using his knowledge and experience to provide jewelry liquidation and appraisal services to his clients.
In 2018, Scott became a member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA). He also became a published author, releasing "The Art of Gemology" on Amazon.com in hardcover format, as well as digitally on Blurb.com.
In 2019, Scott continued his education with Christie's New York, furthering his expertise in antique and vintage jewelry.
Later in 2019, Scott achieved Certified Member status in the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers.
In 2020, Scott became the very first to graduate NAJA's online appraisal studies course, achieving the incredibly-prestigious, Certified Master Appraiser status.
